South Square welcomes Tony Beswetherick KC

Tony joins from Twenty Essex, bringing over two decades of experience in civil fraud, asset recovery, insolvency and company law. He has developed a strong international practice and is admitted to practise in the British Virgin Islands. He regularly appears before the courts of the Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands, and his work also includes proceedings before the Dubai International Financial Centre and the Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts.

Tony’s practice includes civil fraud and asset recovery matters, shareholder and company disputes, insolvency and restructuring work, and commercial litigation and arbitration. He is recognised in the leading legal directories for his clarity of advice, calm approach and commercial judgement. Tony was educated at the University of Oxford, called to the Bar in 2003 and appointed King’s Counsel in 2022.
