COMBAR Mentoring Scheme for Under-Represented Groups at the Bar

South Square is pleased to be participating in COMBAR’s Mentoring Scheme for Under-Represented Groups at the Bar, for which applications are now open.

The aim of the Scheme is to encourage people from grounds who are under-represented at the English Bar, and in particular at the Commercial Bar, to pursue a career as a barrister.

The Scheme is open to people in under-represented groups at any time from their first year of university. Successful applicants will be allocated a commercial barrister, from South Square or one of the other participating sets, as an individual mentor. The mentees will benefit from meetings with their mentor, a workshop on pupillage applications and (COVID-dependent) a social event with mentors and other commercial barristers.

For more details including about eligibility please click here. Any other questions should be directed to the following email address: socialmobility@combar.com
