River Island Plan Sanctioned
Matthew Abraham, instructed by Greenberg Traurig and led by Matthew Weaver KC, successfully represented River Island in its restructuring of its financial and leasehold liabilities.
Sir Alastair Norris sanctioned River Island’s restructuring plan that will extend maturities on secured financing and see the retailer modify and exit certain locations. The Judge agreed to cramdown five classes of landlords that voted against the plan in one of the first few cases, in the landlord context, following the Court of Appeal’s decision in Petrofac.
The Judge has confirmed that he will be provided a full written judgment in due course.
